Castor oil and castor oil inducers are used in a wide range of applications in pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, lubricants, lubricants, metalworking oils, fiber oleoresins, coatings, plastics, adhesives, plasticizers, etc. Common industrial uses are as follows.

1. castor oil can be used in the manufacture of Turkish red oil, soap, plastics, lubricants, etc.

2. Castor oil has good compatibility with nitrocellulose, ethylcellulose, cellulose acetate butyrate, polyamide, butylated melamine (or urea), formaldehyde resin, rosin, shellac, etc., and can be used as a plasticizer. In addition, polyvinyl butyral, polyvinyl chloride, polyvinyl acetate, vinyl alcohol copolymer, chlorinated rubber also have good compatibility.

3. castor oil has good stability, color retention, flexibility, pigment dispersion, wettability, lubricity, low temperature properties, electrical properties and biological properties, therefore, it can be used in paint varnish, artificial leather, ink, painting, sealant, textile, plastic, transportation and lubricant, plasticizer, cosmetics, polyurethane resin, metalworking oil, surfactant, electrical insulation material, medicine and many other fields.

4. Castor oil can carry out many chemical reactions through its OH group, double bond and ester bond, and the resulting products are widely used in paint industry, plastic industry, rubber industry, building materials industry, metal industry and machinery industry.

5. Castor oil can be directly involved in the reaction to prepare polyurethane coatings. The production of polyurethane coatings generally uses polyisocyanate and polyester polyol addition, requiring the relative molecular mass of polyester polyol generally between 1000 ~ 3000, hydroxyl value in the range of 160 ~ 300mgKOH/g. Castor oil basically meets the above conditions, and it can be polymerized with isocyanate to produce polyurethane coatings.

6. Cosmetics for daily use

① Castor oil is particularly beneficial to oily hair. It can prevent dandruff, fungal and microbial infections.

② Since it is easily absorbed by the skin, it has a relieving effect on dry skin and helps to reduce freckles and pigmentation.

7. Medical

① Castor oil can relieve constipation, often used as a dumping agent, in addition to treating hemorrhoids, can promote the metabolism of the stool, for the treatment of skin damage is also more, such as for scrapes, cuts, sunburn and burns, etc., have a very good therapeutic effect.

② Castor's ricin, oleic and linoleic acid components help relieve rheumatism, arthritis and gout. In addition, castor oil is also useful in the treatment of warts. Applying it daily on the affected area and then gently massaging it can help clear up this skin condition.

③ It can also be used to treat skin ulcers, nail and toe fungal infections.
