Calcium Carboxylic Acid
Calcium carboxylic acid is an azo dye and a silver ion sensitizer.
Calcium carboxylic acid can be used to detect proteins on polyacrylamide gels
Properties: purple-black crystal or powder.
Solubility: slightly soluble in water and ethanol, easily soluble in alkaline aqueous solution, and the solution is unstable. It appears purple-red in neutral solution and blue when the pH value is between 12 and 14. It forms a red complex with Ca2+, and a purple or blue complex with UO22+, Mg2+, Be2+, etc.
Danger code:Xi
Hazard level:36/37/38
Security level:26-36
