N-Methyldiethanolamine (MDEA) is a class of tertiary amine compounds. The chemical formula is CH3N(CH2CH2OH)2, the relative molecular mass is 119.16, the proportion is 1.0418, the boiling point of water is 247℃, the viscosity at 12℃ is 101cP, the freezing point is –48℃, and it can be completely dissolved in water.
This production process adopts the most advanced pipeline reaction in the world, that is, ethylene oxide and pure monomethylamine are reacted in a tubular reactor at a working pressure of 2.5MPa, and MDEA is obtained by steam distillation and a rectification tower. The purity is over 97%.
This process has the following obvious advantages:
1. Good safety factor. Piping reflects that it can prevent the occurrence of explosion caused by partial over-temperature, and it is the safest and most reliable process route for ethylene oxide.
2. Good quality and few by-products. Manipulating the ratio of cycloethyl/methylamine can avoid the production of high boiling substances. The color of the product is very good, and there is basically no color. After modernization, it has been proved that the product saturation is far better than that of the kettle type reactor. [Natural gas desulfurizer]
3. Very low energy consumption. The tube-type reaction can use monomethylamine without water, and the 40% methylamine solution is used in the kettle-type process. The latter consumes a lot of energy for distilling water, and the content of commercial water is relatively high.
4. High production volume. Continuously reflect the process, start construction, stop production is convenient, and the hourly production volume of the enterprise is adjustable.
This process has been tested on the scale of industrial production and operation of 600 tons/year, which has completely reached the global standard. Scientific research developers have successfully developed the domestic production process of 10,000 tons of ethanolamine, and have achieved global standards, and have accumulated rich work experience, which has given a strong guarantee for the production process of MDEA.
